Standup for Nov 20 at 7pm

1. SS got all his work done, has to be checked by Mom.
2. SS got his new library membership and will be reading books in the evening. No TV!
3. AD still has work pending - will be working late.
4. SS and AD want to leave for school by 7.20.
5. Mom had a good day - first day at the gym with the trainer. Would want to be up early (by 6) to do some cardio.
6. So, kids have to be ready by themselves by 7.20.
7. Papa had a good day. He will take kids to school at 7.20 and pickup AD at 4.30.
8. Mom takes the dog for walk in the morning.

Standup lasted 10 minutes.

Standup for Nov 18 at 7pm

1. SS had a good day, but still has some homework to take care of. He will do the homework and get it checked by Papa. SS will pack bags before going to bed.
2. SS wants to be in school by 7.45 as he wants to play a little bit before school starts. Papa and Mommy are unsure about him playing in the morning, but will see as it unfolds.
3. SS has Taekwondo on Tues and has his gear in school locker room.
4. AD had a bad day as he has a big headache. Mom will give him Advil after standup. He is stressed as he had a bad test.
5. Mom's day was ok - she wanted to be at work early tomorrow - she does not know the time.
6. Dad will take the kids to school tomorrow. He has to be at work by 9am. So, kids have to be ready by 7.30.

Breakthrough!!

We had a breakthrough today - kids were up and ready on time by themselves at 7.20. The only prompting was waking up SS at 6.30 and reminding the kids to keep an eye on the clock.

This has been the smoothest morning in a really long time!

Standup for Nov 17 at 10.30pm

We had a breakdown on Friday morning when SS could not find one of the drumsticks for his Band class. This resulted in him going to school with just one drumstick and in a very bad mood. We discussed this before the standup started and asked SS how we could the situation have been better. He gave a very mature response by saying that this could be prevented if he packed his bags at night. The Family agreed that all bags should be packed at night before going to bed.

Tonight's standup was late as Mom was working with SS on a class project. In fact, it was Mom who called the standup at 10.30 as it was a busy day and the rest of us had forgotten about it!

Rest of the standup

1. SS has PE and has to pack his PE clothes in the bag.
2. SS said that he will be ready for school by 7.30. AD said that it should be 7.20, SS agreed.
3. AD had a good weekend. AD wanted to be in school by 7.50 and said he will be ready by 7.20.
4. Mom wants to be at work at 8.30 and cannot drop any of the kids.
5. Papa accepted to drop the kids to school.
6. Kids were reminded that there will be no prompting to get ready for school the next day.

Breakdown

We had a partial breakdown today morning - we are going to talk about it tonight.

Standup for Nov 14 at 7.35pm

Both kids got sick and stayed at home today.

• Mom came home early to be with the kids and give them medicine and help.
• Mom is helping out SS with his project and also has to go to Michael's to get some projects for SS's class for Thanksgiving.
• SS is feeling better. He has to be in class by 8.30am tomorrow.
• SS needs help in finding a drum stick and missing Friday folder. SS has band on Friday.
• AD is still working! He claims to have two more hours of Linear Algebra left, but may take more than that.
• AD will get done by 2pm tomorrow and will get picked up by Papa.
• Papa claimed that he had to prod the kids a lot to get done on time. Kids claimed they did not need it, so tomorrow Papa will not prod anyone to get done on time except wake them up. Let us see how that goes!
• Papa told everybody that MS and VD will be coming home tomorrow by 6pm for the party on Saturday and MS will help out with the heavy stuff on Friday night.

Standup for 11/13 at 6.50pm

Today's standup was at Satkar Indian Cuisine - after we had our dinner at the restaurant. To avoid being weird, we did the standup while sitting down on the restaurant table!

1. Mom had a good day. She said that she has to be in SS's school tomorrow by 8am. That implies she has to leave home by 7.50.
2. AD said that they were late today by 5 minutes (7.20 instead of 7.15) - he and SS will try to make it on time in future.
3. AD has a lot of homework left over. He is going to spend the evening finishing it off. He does not need help and has to be in school at regular hours.
4. SS said that he was not able to complete his work in school on time. He has 10 math problems left over that he wants checked by Mom. Also, SS said that he will be ready on time to leave with Mom at 7.50.
5. Papa and the kids disagreed that Papa had to prod the kids to get done on time today morning. So, tomorrow morning there will be no pushing by Papa and kids will have to be ready on time by themselves. Kids said this could be done.
6. Papa will take the dog out for a walk after dropping AD to school.
7. At the end of the standup AD remembered that he needed swimming shorts for next day. Mom said he already had some and she will help him find them.
8. SS remembered that he needs a USB stick for next day. Papa was tasked with buying it before getting home.
